Specialist vessels
Nautilus members do not all work on vessels transporting freight or passengers.
Most of the Nautilus members employed on specialist vessels work around the UK and Netherlands, but for some, their duties take them much further afield – even to the North and South Poles. The size and crew complement of specialist vessels vary greatly, but none will match the size of the largest cargoships or passengerships. Some crew members engaged in technical operations such as cable-laying will also be members of the Union.
