Nautilus International visited cadets at Shetland UHI's Scalloway Campus in June. Fifteen cadets from the engineering department plus two lecturers attended a presentation by Nautilus national organiser Steve Doran.

Shetland UHI senior lecturer David Grant hosted the meeting in which the Union answered numerous questions and distributed Nautilus merchandise.

Situated on the west coast of the Shetland Islands, UHI’s Scalloway Campus is the most northerly marine institute in the United Kingdom.

The Campus undertakes research in Finfish and Shellfish Fisheries, Marine Spatial Planning and Policy, and Aquaculture, with specialists in fisheries, shellfish, marine planning and policy, species cultivation, marine biology and ecology, invasive non-native species, GIS analysis, and marine surveys.
