CSMART is currently looking for an Instructor for our Technical department for 40 hours per week. This role focuses on experience with cruise ship electrical systems. Applicants must possess a high degree of self- motivation and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

As an Instructor (Electrical), you are an integral part of the CSMART team, where your key responsibilities will include, yet not limited to:

  • Delivering training to ship-board technical staff
  • Delivers the course according to the CSMART course delivery process
  • Developing courses/new procedures to be implemented on board ships
  • Keeping up to date with current practices and technology
  • Liaises with the Course Administration team and other instructors to ensure everything is prepared prior to start of courses
  • Follows up with underperforming participant process
  • Restores equipment and restores any deficiencies

Requirements & Experience

  • Experience should typically be or have been in the role of Senior Engineer/Superintendent, Senior Electrical Technical Officer, Electrical  Technical Officer, Subject Matter Experts (SME) Electrical/Automation Engineering
  • 1st Electrical officer or higher is preferable
  • Cruise Ship experience is preferred
  • Experience in teaching/instructing would be an asset

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of computers & networks
  • Proficient in MS Office

Language Skills

  • Fluent written and verbal English language

Personal Skills

  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Works well in a multi-cultural team
  • Ability to work unassisted
