The air was thick with an abundance of nostalgia and reminiscence at the Liner Hotel in Liverpool in October, when nearly 100 former shipmates and colleagues met up for the Clan Line reunion to share happy memories over lunch and refreshments.
The annual event went ahead this year after Covid-19 prevented last year's from taking place. Former engineer officer Andy Thomson did a marvellous job in organising the reunion, which is generously supported by Jamie Cayzer-Colvin and the Cayzer Trust.
Next year's reunion is provisionally booked for Wednesday 5 October 2022 and is open to all former employees, spouses and partners of the British and Commonwealth Shipping Company. For further information, please contact Catharina Smith at Cayzer House at Catharina.Smith@Caledonia.com or call +44 (0)20 7802 8453

Strong opinions welcome – in your own name
As far as tackling 'fire and rehire' is concerned, this challenging issue remains a high priority for the Union, with extra weight given to our campaigning by a vote of members (in their own names) at the 2023 General Meeting.
We won't keep cadets if we continue treating them like this
Until companies are willing to invest in a decent standard, you will have trouble attracting cadets, as conditions are far worse than in the 1970s when I did my cadetship.
Join us at the PSNC reunion
I am writing to let Nautilus members know that the Pacific Steam Navigation Company's annual reunion will take place this year in Bootle on 27/28 March.
