I would like to invite fellow Nautilus members to visit our new Falklands memorial bench in Pickering Park, Hull.
The bench was unveiled in April this year, around the 42nd anniversary of the start of the Falklands War. It is dedicated to the nine Hull vessels and their crews who supported the Falklands Task Force.
At the unveiling, we were pleased to welcome Falkland Islander Diane Clune, as well as the family of Roy 'Wendy' Gibson, a steward on the ferry Norland, which was requisitioned as a troop carrier for the 2nd Battalion, Parachute Regiment.
We will continue to remember and support our comrades from the Falklands War.

Having internet onboard is OK, but the bar was better for morale
Conditions have gone downhill badly from their heyday, when you got port time where you could get ashore to unwind and just see other people.
