Industrial

Our industrial department assists members with all company employment related issues of both a collective and individual nature.

In terms of collective representation, much of the department's work is focused on pay bargaining and securing improvement in terms and conditions of employment. Just over half of Nautilus International’s membership is covered by collective agreements.

The industrial department looks to increase member participation through the election of liaison officers, Liaison Officer Committees and Partnership at Work Committees.

We also offer advice and representation to members in individual employment related matters such as grievances, disciplinaries and employment tribunals.

A growing aspect of the department work is also recruitment. Officials work endlessly to ensure continuous membership growth amongst maritime professionals.
