Elections

Full paid-up members in categories for which there are vacancies, are entitled to stand for election.

Members are encouraged to stand for election to Council. The governing body is made up of serving officers each elected to serve a four-year term. Elections are held on a rolling basis, which means just about half the Council places come up for election every two years.

The Electoral Reform Society (Ballot Services) Ltd is the independent auditor appointed by the General Meeting for the review of Council elections.
